SILVER SWIMMERS (USA) provide awe-inspiring, roving, off-stage performances among crowds at community settings, festivals, and special gala events.

These professionally trained movers, dancers and performers create an evening to remember as their special presence transforms the atmosphere of an event with their refined movement and their ability to draw observers into their magical realm.

Dressed in turn-of-the-century swimming costumes and completely swathed in silver body paint, they silently swim against the pressure of imagined water. These ephemeral figures transform a bustling street into a meditational haven.

Influenced by the study of such techniques as Butoh, contact improvisation, Continuum, and contemporary dance, the ensemble exposes a crossover in dimensions—the SWIMMERS live in a land in which the qualities of air and water are reversed. They have broken through the fabric of reality to arrive in our world.

They are beasts of water, light and evanescence. Creaturely and mystical. They lift your consciousness to a place of peace, discovery and respect for all that is seen and unseen.
